FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS 〰️
Do you travel for weddings?
Absolutely. I’ve been honored to have photographed weddings both nationally and internationally,
Do you offer film photography?
I do! Once I send you the pricing brochure, you’ll find it included in the premium package or as an add-on in the a la carte section.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?
My photography style is photojournalistic meets creative editorial. It's artful storytelling for those who value experiences over things, intentional details, and adventure over perfection. I want the portraits to embody the personalities of the couple, and I also want everyone involved to enjoy the process. As much as I want to create award-winning art, my priority will always be my clients. Yes, we'll get the kinds of photos you'd find in a magazine, but it's equally important to capture the moments the Mother of the Bride will hang in her hallway. I strive for emotive, vibrant, chic and modern photographs that will be treasured for generations.
do you deliver black and white photographs?
Absolutely. While the majority of your photographs will be in color, about 15% of your final gallery will be in black and white. I make sure to deliver these select images in both color and black and white.
how many photographs will i receive?
For 8-10 hour wedding days, you can expect to receive between 800-1000 edited, hi-resolution photographs.
HOW WILL WE RECEIVE OUR FINAL photographs?
After hand-editing each photo, you will receive a link to your private online gallery for easy viewing, sharing with friends and family, downloading, and printing.
WHEN WILL WE RECEIVE OUR IMAGES?
You’ll receive sneak peeks within one week, often sooner. When all of your photos are ready, I’ll invite you to your own personal gallery where you can view all of the edited images. For small shoots, the final gallery will be sent to you in 1 week or less. For your wedding day, your final gallery will be sent to you in 5 weeks or less.
CAN WE PRINT OUR OWN PHOTOS?
Yes, you can. Part of your contract is a print release for your images.
HOW MUCH TIME DO WE NEED YOU FOR?
If you are doing a first look, have me start 4-5 hours before the ceremony and end 3 hours after the beginning of the reception. You likely only need me later into the night if you are planning a sparkler exit or something along those lines. Side note, a staged sparkler exit is always an option and becoming increasingly popular. If you aren’t doing a first look, have me start 2-3 hours before the ceremony and end 3 hours after the beginning of the reception.
HOW LONG DO YOU NEED FOR PORTRAITS DURING A WEDDING DAY?
I recommend 1-2 hours total. This could be one continuous timeframe or broken up with different locations throughout the day. The main reason most clients hire me is for creative portraits of the couple, so don’t leave just 15 mins out of your 8 hour package. Ya feel me?
do we have to do a first look?
I do not require a first look. It’s your day and it’s not just about the photos. However, in my experience, couples who do a first look report back that they are relieved they chose to do one. It tends to release any anxiety and allows you to spend more time with loved ones after the ceremony since you won’t be tied up taking photos.
CAN I SEE A FULL WEDDING GALLERY TO GET A BETTER IDEA OF YOUR WORK?
Absolutely. Only book a wedding photographer if you’ve viewed one of their final wedding galleries. Fill out the contact form and I’ll send you a link to a full wedding day.
what if my wedding venue is dark?
I come to every wedding with the proper gear, knowledge, and experience to handle any lighting scenario.
ARE YOU LGBTQ+ FRIENDLY?
Hell yes. All love is not just welcome, it’s encouraged and celebrated here.
CAN WE MEET FIRST?
Of course! After sending you the brochure, we can set up a discovery call or video chat to discuss your dream day.
